Our commitment to your satisfaction with every order from Gifts n Bakery.

1. Our Promise

At Gifts n Bakery, we take pride in the quality of our products and services. We want every customer to be completely satisfied with their purchase. If you are not happy with your order for any valid reason, we will work with you to make it right through a replacement, store credit, or refund as outlined in this policy.

This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through our website giftsnbakery.com, phone orders, WhatsApp orders, and in-store purchases at our location in Roorkee, Uttarakhand.

2. Eligibility for Refund

You may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:

  • The product received is damaged, spoiled, or defective upon delivery.
  • The product delivered does not match your order details.
  • The product quality is significantly below our stated standards.
  • Delivery was not attempted or completed due to our operational failure.
  • You cancelled a standard product order within the allowed cancellation window.

Refunds are not provided for change of mind after order preparation has begun, for products that have been partially consumed, or for delays caused by incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.

Orders that have already been dispatched for delivery cannot be cancelled. In such cases, our standard refund eligibility criteria will apply based on product condition upon receipt.

4. Damaged or Defective Products

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please follow these steps to request a refund or replacement:

  1. Contact us within 2 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the issue.
  2. Provide a brief description of the problem and whether you prefer a replacement or refund.
  3. Our team will review your request and respond within 4 hours during business hours.
  4. For approved requests, we will arrange a replacement delivery or process your refund within 24 hours.

We may request return of the damaged product in its original packaging. If return pickup is required, we will arrange it at no cost to you. Failure to report damage within the 2-hour window may affect your eligibility for a full refund.

5. Quality Complaints

If you believe the quality of your product does not meet our standards, please contact us within 4 hours of delivery. We may ask you to describe the specific issue or provide photographs. Based on our assessment, we may offer:

  • A full replacement of the product at no additional cost.
  • Store credit equivalent to the product value for future purchases.
  • A partial or full refund to your original payment method.

Quality complaints related to taste preferences or subjective dissatisfaction where the product meets our standard preparation are not eligible for refund but we may offer store credit at our discretion.

6. Non-Delivery by Us

If your order is not delivered due to our operational failure and no alternative delivery time is acceptable to you, you are entitled to a full refund. This includes situations where:

  • Our delivery partner fails to complete delivery without valid reason.
  • The product is not prepared due to inventory shortage and no substitute is agreed upon.
  • Our store is unexpectedly closed on the delivery date due to circumstances within our control.

Refunds for non-delivery will be processed within 24 hours of confirmation. We are not responsible for non-delivery caused by incorrect address information, unavailability of recipient, or refusal to accept delivery by the recipient.

7. How Refunds Are Processed

Once your refund request is approved, we will process it as follows:

  • Online Payments: Refund to the original credit card, debit card, UPI, or Google Pay account within 5 to 7 business days. The exact timing depends on your bank or payment provider.
  • Cash on Delivery: Refund via bank transfer or UPI to your provided account details within 3 to 5 business days.
  • Store Credit: Immediate credit to your Gifts n Bakery account, valid for 12 months from issue date.

You will receive an email or SMS confirmation once the refund is initiated. If you do not receive your refund within the stated timeframe, please contact us with your order details and we will investigate with our payment partners.

8. Store Credit Policy

Store credit may be offered as an alternative to cash refunds in certain situations. Store credit:

  • Is issued to your registered account on giftsnbakery.com.
  • Can be used for any product purchase on our website or in-store.
  • Is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
  • Cannot be transferred to another user or converted to cash.
  • Will be applied automatically at checkout when you are logged in.

If you prefer a cash refund instead of store credit, please specify this in your refund request. We honor such requests whenever the original payment method allows reversal.

9. Non-Refundable Items & Exceptions

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Products that have been partially or fully consumed after delivery confirmation.
  • Products damaged due to improper storage by the customer after delivery.
  • Custom orders where the customer approved the design and the final product matches the approved design.
  • Discounted or promotional items marked as final sale at the time of purchase.
  • Gift cards and vouchers once purchased or redeemed.
  • Delivery charges for orders that were successfully delivered.

We reserve the right to refuse refund requests that we determine to be fraudulent or abusive. Customers making repeated refund claims without valid reasons may be restricted from future orders.

10. Event & Bulk Orders

For event orders, bulk corporate orders, or wedding cake orders, separate refund terms will be communicated in your order confirmation or contract. Typically:

  • Cancellations more than 7 days before the event date receive a 90% refund.
  • Cancellations 3 to 7 days before receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations less than 3 days before are non-refundable but may be converted to store credit.

Advance deposits for event orders are non-refundable if cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled delivery or event date.

Please have your order number ready when contacting us. We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 2 hours and resolve them within 24 hours during business days.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your order will govern your refund eligibility.
